Police are More Dangerous to the Public Than Criminals

Bill Totten's Weblog

The worse threat every American faces comes from his/her own government.

The goon thug psychopaths no longer only brutalize minorities – it is open season on all of us – the latest victim is a petite young white mother of two small children: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article36211.htm

At the federal level the threat is a seventh war (Syria) in twelve years, leading on to the eighth and ninth (Iran and Lebanon) and then on to nuclear war with Russia and China.

The criminal psychopaths in Washington have squandered trillions of dollars on their wars, killing and dispossessing millions of Muslims while millions of American citizens have been dispossessed of their homes and careers.  Now the entire social safety net is on the chopping bloc so that Washington can finance more wars.

At the state and local level every American faces brutal, armed…

The New Republican Party – ‘Horrifying Anti-Obamacare Ad Warns That Uncle Sam Wants In Your Uterus’

The Last Of The Millenniums

obamacare ad

‘Say hello to a new pair of ads from Generation Opportunity, a conservative group being funded in part by the Koch brothers’.

‘Generation Opportunity is a conservative group whose purpose is to sabotage Obamacare by convincing healthy young people to not enroll in the law’s health insurance exchanges, thus making it difficult to subsidize elderly people in the pools’.

‘After getting defeated in the fight to prevent Obamacare from becoming a law, the Koch brothers’ new goal is to injure the program by making its exchanges unsustainable’.

‘It’s like losing in the Olympics and then kneecapping your opponent so he can’t stand and retrieve his medal. Politics: so noble’.

The gendered ads don’t offer much more than scare tactics in the way of substance, but such is the tone of the contemporary political sphere’:

“DO YOU WANT THE GOVERNMENT IN YOUR VAGINA, LADY? AND YOU, BRO, DO YOU WANT UNCLE…

Eat Drink Better | Cooking, healthy food, and sustainable eating!

Ned Hamson's Second Line View of the News

Poor people are inconvenient. Fortunately, you can ignore them and nothing will happen.

The House cut Food Stamps by $40 billion yesterday when they passed the Nutrition Reform and Work Opportunity Act of 2013 (H.R. 3012). The 109 page bill includes a number of requirements for new projects, reports to be written about those projects, and committees to review those projects, plus the budget necessary to do those things. The cost-cutting mostly occurs in one place – “categorical eligibility”.

WASHINGTON — ‘House Republicans narrowly pushed through a bill on Thursday that slashes billions of dollars from the food stamp program, over the objections of Democrats and a veto threat from President Obama’.

‘The vote was 217 to 210, largely along party lines’.

‘Republican leaders, under pressure from Tea Party-backed conservatives, said the bill was needed because the food stamp program, which costs nearly $80 billion a year, had…

Summary:

This book follows the life of one of the most interesting figures from Ancient Egypt.  Hatshepsut was truly unique.  She would ultimately grow up to rule Egypt, not as a queen or a queen regent, but as the pharaoh, or king.  She was born the daughter of a pharaoh, making her a princess.  She grew up and married a prince, who was also her half-brother, which would make her the wife of a pharaoh.  Her husband ruled for about 15 years before he died leaving only a baby boy as his heir.  Therefore, Hatshepsut was the senior member of the royal family so she stepped in as the king’s regent, ruling in his place.  Soon, however, she began to identify…
